    The apps thin out late at night, and in plenty of areas they were never reliable to begin with. We are not an app. Send a message, get a driver and a price — no waiting to see whether anyone accepts.

The part other services don’t do

Most lifts leave your car behind. That means fetching it in the morning, paying to park it overnight, or leaving it somewhere you would rather not.

Book two drivers instead. You are driven home in the Mercedes; your own car follows, in the hands of a second driver. Both cars end up where they belong, and you drove neither of them.

I have been driving professionally for — years, and I started kwaNgobeni because I kept meeting people who needed a lift home and did not want to leave their car behind.

I drive the car myself. When you book, I am the one who arrives — and if you have asked for your own car to be brought home, I bring a driver I have worked with for years, not a stranger.

Pretoria is home. I know the roads, I know the venues, and I know which routes are worth avoiding at midnight.

I hold a Professional Driving Permit, and the car carries commercial insurance — not the ordinary cover most people drive on.

Where and when

Based in Pretoria and working across Gauteng — Tshwane, Centurion, Midrand, Johannesburg, Sandton and Ekurhuleni. All three airports: OR Tambo, Lanseria and Wonderboom. Trips outside the province are quoted separately; just ask.

Point to point, anywhere in the province, one price agreed before you travel. No meter, no surge, no surprises.

That includes the areas and the hours where getting a lift is normally difficult. If the apps show nothing available where you are, that is exactly when to message.

Available twenty-four hours, seven days a week. Late nights are not an exception here. They are most of the work.

Questions people ask

What if I can’t get a lift where I am?
That is a good part of what we do. The e-hailing apps thin out late at night and have never covered some areas properly. Message on WhatsApp with where you are and you will get a driver and a price — not a spinning icon and a cancelled trip.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
Send your flight number when you book and it gets watched. If you land late the car is still there — you are not paying for a lift you missed, and you are not joining a queue at midnight hoping somebody accepts the trip. Tell us whether you are coming out of domestic or international arrivals and you will be told exactly where to meet.
How does the second driver work?
Tell us when you book that your car needs to come home too. Two of us arrive: one drives you in the Mercedes, the other drives your car. Both cars end up at your address.
What does it cost?
It depends on distance, the hour, and whether your own car is coming home. Send the details on WhatsApp and you will get one price for the whole trip, agreed before you travel.
How late do you work?
Any hour, any night. Late nights are most of the work — that is when people need a driver most.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Thabo holds a Professional Driving Permit as well as a driver’s licence, and the car is on a commercial policy rather than ordinary private cover. If you need the details in writing for a corporate or venue booking, ask and they will be sent.
Can I book in advance for a wedding or function?
Yes, and it is better if you do. Booking ahead holds the evening for you rather than leaving it to chance on the night.
